 General Food Safety training course 

Basic food safety management training based on the Food Hygiene Act, HACCP, and Good Hygiene Practice, etc.

  • Target: Staffs, junior supervisor, workers in the food industry

  • Purpose: Understanding of food safety and personal hygiene concept and delivering necessary legal requirements

  • Duration of training: 2 hours

  • Training curriculum: Personal hygiene management, facility management, compliance for each process, critical legal issues, etc.

 ServSafe Certificate Training 

ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination

A food hygiene and safety training program based on FDA Food Code administered by the American Restaurant Association (NRA) accredited by the American Standards Association (ANSI) and the Food Protection Society (CFP). 

  • Target: Food industry manager, supervisor, university student, etc.

  • Purpose: Understanding of food safety management standards and obtaining certificates 

  • Duration of training: 2-3 days (including examination)

  • Training curriculum: Safe food provision, contaminations, safe food handlers, food flows, safe facilities and pest management, cleaning and disinfection

  • Certificate acquisition criteria: 90 Korean multiple choice questions(Pass: earned 75 points or more)

  • Certificate validity period: 5 years

Q. I would like to provide training for workers and employees. Is on-site training possible?

A. If you provide a place for training, we can visit anywhere in the country.

Q. Is General food safety course only for 2 hours?

A. After discussion with trainees, it is possible to adjust the training time, and it is possible to conduct customized training according to the request of the client.

Q. When I complete the ServSafe certificate course, will I get a certification?

A. After completing the course, a multiple-choice exam will be conducted, and a certificate (certificate) will be issued when more than 75 points are earned.

Q. Who is responsible for scoring ServSafe exam questions?

A. Exam questions and scoring are all handled by the NRA. In accordance with applicable policies, ServSafe exam papers and answer sheets will be sent to the NRA center in US upon completion of the exam, and the results of the exam will be published through computer scoring by them.

Q. I lost my ServSafe certificate. Can I get a replacement?

A. The ServSafe certificate can be reprinted after signing up as a member on the ServSafe website or the proctor who organized the test can help it.

Q. Is the ServSafe certificate useful in Korea?

A. As the interest in food safety in general is increasing, demands from industry workers are increasing day by day, and major hotels in Korea and foreign food service companies in Korea require a ServSafe certificate as well.
